Building Trust When Online Marketing

If you are serious about making money online, you need to have a good email list of prospective customers and then work to build their trust. This is done in a variety of different ways, but is far more effective than just sending a barrage of emails to the client. If you take the time to build trust, you will get more sales from your clients, even if you have a smaller email list than other people.

The first step that you need to take when you are online marketing to a list of prospective clients is to offer them something free that will start to create a relationship between you and the client. This can include an e-book that you have written yourself or have paid someone else to right. You want to be sure that you have the rights to this e-book at that it is original. You do not have to spend a lot of money, nor should this e-book be very large. A 25 page report on something that you sell and concerns your prospects is what you need. The short, free report will be just enough to whet their whistle and will build not only trust, but goodwill on behalf of your business.

After you have sent the short report, you should then follow up with a survey. This shows those on your email list that you care and also helps you to understand what the needs are of those who are on your membership email list are. You should take a good look at this list to see what they are thinking and what they thought about the report. Did it help them? What did they like and dislike about it.

Say, for example, that the customer did not like the report because, although they want to lose weight, they do not want to take the diet and exercise tips that are illustrated clearly in the report. In such a case, you would then know that they are looking for an easier way to lose weight than any of the many ideas outlined I your report.

Your next internet marketing step is to start researching some affiliate programs that allow you to sell products for another company for a commission. These products range from larger e-books to products that are mailed out. You can then find an affiliate program that will enable you to sell diet pills for them. You can sign up to be an affiliate and then make the offer to the person on your email list that they can get these special pills for only a small amount of money. You send them the link to the page for the affiliate program and they, in turn, sell the pills to your client and give you a hefty commission.

What did this cost you? Nothing. You can get a free report online that is rewritten by a writer for a small amount of money. The time that you spend, however, in trying to make sure that you meet the needs of others is well worth it when you want to build trust in internet marketing.
